The RBOA has over the years responded to many consultations in order to improve the lives of those who live on the waterways.  Below is a few of the consultation responses we have submitted including the most recent.

Response to the consultation on lock operations on the Kennet and Avon

In the May/June 2008 edition of Soundings Ellen Dexter brought to members attention a consultation being undertaken to discuss the arrangements for lock operation on the Kennet and Avon Canal.  After asking for members views, an official response by the RBOA has now been submitted.

Development Control Policies in the Broads

This response was submitted after a consultation by the Broads Authority to allow interested parties to have a say in the development of its loacal policies.

HMRC Derogation of Red Diesel

Her Majesties Revenues & Customs (HMRC) have been instructed that the current duty rates applied to red diesel for pleasure boats is to be increased
Our initial response, here, outlined how this would likely affect our members although we did continue to negotiate after the submission.
