EA Notices for Reading and Iffley

Please find attached two Environment Agency Harbourmaster’s Notices.

When: Thursday 17 August and Monday 4 September 2017 – 7pm to midnight
Where: Scours Lane, Reading (one mile upstream of Caversham Bridge)
What’s happening: Installation and removal of temporary footbridge for Reading Festival – Expect long delays on both 17 August and 4 September from 7pm to midnight (river conditions permitting) whilst the temporary footbridge is craned into position and subsequently removed.

When: Monday 21 August 2017 to mid-October 2017
Where: Iffley Reach, Folly Bridge, southern channel and arch
What’s happening: Closure of the southern navigation channel and arch at Folly Bridge, Oxford – In order for repair works to be carried out the narrow channel through the southern, left bridge arch must be closed. The closure of this channel will be marked with the appropriate red navigation marker buoys. The main northern, right navigation channel and arch remain open to navigation in the normal way. River users are reminded that boats going upstream must give way to boats coming downstream.
