Radcot Bridge scour repair works
Oxfordshire County Council have employed a contractor to carry out works to Radcot Bridge to repair scour damage. Part of the works involve repairing failed piling around the bridge abutment. The equipment required to carry out the piling will completely block the navigable arch during the works. Therefore, between Wednesday 8 March and Wednesday 22 March 2017 the river will be closed at Radcot Bridge for two four hour periods each weekday. The river will be closed from 8am to midday and 1pm to 5pm. The river will be open at all other times including an hour between midday and 1pm.
The contractors will not be working on the weekends and therefore the river will be open as usual over the weekends.
There will be equipment in the vicinity of the bridge during the open periods so please navigate with particular caution whilst passing through this stretch.
Please follow directional signage, follow any directions given by the contractors and/or officers of the Environment Agency and navigate slowly and with caution in the area of these works.
